     William was born on 12 June 1874 at Eisenach, Germany. He married Lydia Marie Ernestine Luiten on 24 September 1902 at Ritzville, Adams County, Washington.2 William died in September 1956 at Colbert, Spokane County, Washington, at age 82. His body was interred at Dartford Cemetery, Spokane, Washington.
     William Gottlieb Hildebrandt also went by the name of "Doc" Hildebrandt. William immigrated on 11 June 1883. After May 1898, William Gottlieb Hildebrandt moved to Ritzville, Adams County, Washington.3 Sometime after settling in Ritzville, WA, he bought a saloon that he operated until 1916. The saloon was known as the "Old Crow" in 1905 when he remodeled and improved the interior. A photograph contributed by a family member shows it as "The Welcome Saloon". The family home in Ritzville was known as the "S M Hair house", which was distinctive as being the only house in town constructed of brick with stone veneer stucco work, and the only house oriented true North-South, diagonally to the direction of the streets. On 15 April 1910 William Gottlieb Hildebrandt and Lydia Marie Ernestine Luiten lived at Wayside Township, Spokane County, Washington.4 On 1 January 1920 William Gottlieb Hildebrandt and Lydia Marie Ernestine Hildebrandt lived at a farm, Larene Precinct, Lincoln County, Washington.5 On 1 April 1930 William Gottlieb Hildebrandt and Lydia Marie Ernestine Hildebrandt lived at Wayside Township, Spokane County, Washington.6 On 1 April 1935 William Gottlieb Hildebrandt and Lydia Marie Ernestine Hildebrandt lived at Wayside Township, Spokane County, Washington.7 On 1 April 1940 William Gottlieb Hildebrandt and Lydia Marie Ernestine Hildebrandt lived at Wayside Township, Spokane County, Washington.7 On 3 April 1950 William Gottlieb Hildebrandt lived at Day Road near Highway 395, Wayside Township, Spokane County, Washington.8
