     He was employed by Southern Railway Co. at Spencer, Rowan County, North Carolina, in the Car Dept. On 1 April 1940 Clarence Fredrick Buie and Willa May Buie lived at North Salisbury Avenue, Spencer, Rowan County, North Carolina.3
