While terminally ill with cancer, he died of a heart attack.

     Her baptism name was Bozena Ludmilla Adamek.¹ She lived at 317 Third Street, Little Falls, Herkimer County, New York, on 1 April 1930 with Michael Adamek and Anna Adamek.³ Bessie M Adamek lived at 15 King Street, Little Falls, Herkimer County, New York, on 1 April 1940 with Anna Adamek.⁴ As of 9 February 1941, her married name was Babuska. Bessie M Adamek and John Martin Babuska had six children.      Henry was born on 15 January 1864 at Haffte, Hannover, Germany.^1,2 He married Anna Margreta Mohlenhoff on 8 September 1888 at Andrew, Jackson County, Iowa.¹ Henry died on 28 April 1940 at Andrew, Jackson County, Iowa, at age 76.²
     Henry was the youngest in a family of four. By custom, the eldest son inherited the farm, so he had no future in Germany and opted to migrate to America.³ He immigrated in 1882.⁴ Henry worked at the Jackson County Poor Farm where he met his wife who was also employed there. They married and farmed until 1918.⁵ On 1 June 1900 Henry F Ehlers and Anna Margreta Ehlers lived at Perry Township, Jackson County, Iowa.⁴ Henry F Ehlers and Anna Margreta Ehlers had six children.⁵ Henry retired from farming in 1918. They moved to Andrew, purchasing the house owned by Dr. Littlefield..⁵ On 1 January 1920 Henry F Ehlers and Anna Margreta Ehlers lived at Main Street, Andrew, Jackson County, Iowa.³ Henry F Ehlers was employed at Andrew, Jackson County, Iowa, as the sexton of the Andrew Cemetery.⁵
